ASRock Unleashes Hyper OC Series of Overclocking-Oriented Mainboards

ASRock is thought to be an innovator in the development of hardware know-hows. The Computex 2016 came as no exclusion: the company introduced a lineup of overclocked mainboards which joined Hyper OC series. Initially, the lineup consisted of three models – H170 Pro4/Hyper, B150M Pro4/Hyper & H110M-DS/Hyper; further on, it will be replenished by three other models – Fatal1ty H170 Performance/Hyper, Fatal1ty B150 Gaming K4/Hyper & B150A-X1/Hyper.



As seen from the codenames, the motherboards are based on Intel B150, H170 and H110 chipsets which employ ASRock Hyper BCLK Engine controller; it overclocks Intel Skylake CPUs by means of BCLK alteration, without dislocating other components. The new-comers support the installation of superfast DDR4 RAM, graphics cards with PCI-e 3.0 x16 interfaces as well as voluminous drives (including Ultra M.2).

The 492P8 Model Is the 49” Philips Company’s Feedback to Samsung C49HG90

In Q2 next year Philips is going to launch retailing of its new product, demonstrated at the IFA 2017 exhibition. It’s a huge 49-inch 492P8 monitor, based on the curved VA (Vertical Alignment) matrix with the 32:9 aspect ratio, which can provide tough competition to the analogous C49HG90 sample from Samsung, however, the price is lower and equals 899 EUR/1,077 USD.



Philips 492P8 got the 3840 x 1080 resolution, 1,800 mm curve radius, 600 cd/m² and the 5000:1 static contrast. Viewing angles are 178° horizontally and vertically. There is no info about the response time and the refresh time yet. In the meantime, the manufacturer claims, this display can be utilized in multi monitors configuration, when displays are located next to each other or one above the other.

Gaming Nano X1 – a Gaming Nettop by Shuttle – Is Compatible with a VR-Headset

Ardent gamers may start waiting for compact nettops from Shuttle, providing perfect gaming experience. We are speaking about the Gaming Nano X1 line of PCs, performed in the small form factor and possessing such dimensions: 142 × 142 × 86 mm.



Customers will be offered two different versions – one with the four-core Intel Core i5-7300HQ (2.5–3.5 GHz) processor and another with the Core i7-7700HQ (2.8–3.8 GHz) CPU. The DDR4 RAM capacity is 8 or 16 GB respectively.
