In January Asus announced the VivoPC X mini PC, and last week the company notified its customers of this product retail launch. Thus, the system details have become known to general public.
Asus VivoPC X features a 4-core Intel Core i5 7300HQ processor, operated by Windows 10 Home at the 3.2 GHz frequency, 8 or 16 GB DDR4-2400 memory, the SATA M.2 SSD of 512 GB capacity and the 2 TB SATA HDD of the 2.5” form factor. The configuration includes the 3D Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 card with 3 GB of the GDDR5 memory, which supports the 4К resolution and allows connecting up to three Full HD monitors. The key specification is the opportunity to use this mini PC with VR headsets and get as much entertainment as possible.
Interface options enclose four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, two HDMI, one DisplayPort (with NVIDIA G-Sync support) and one Gigabit Ethernet ports. Wireless connectivity is ensured by Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1 adapters.
OCZ company representatives have proudly announced the release of their new SSD child of Agility 4 series. Agility4 series embraces four models which correspond to the 64 GB, 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB volume capacity parameters. Agility4 developers claim that their new series is the balance of performance, speed and reliability at the same time.
The new series is based on Indilinx Everest 2 controller and is equipped with SATA III interface. SSD Agility4 is built on flash-memory chips of MLC NAND type which are destined to sustain up to 2 million hours of fail-proof operability. These chips support TRIM and SMART technologies and are sure to involve ECC option to monitor and remove all detected errors. The other peculiar feature of Agility4 SSDs is the availability of DRAM cache-memory of 1 GB volume capacity. AeroCool has replenished its line of gaming PC chassis with two new models, codenamed Strike X Xtreme Black Edition and Strike X Xtreme White Edition. Both cases are distinguished by an enhanced framework reliability and a sophisticated cooling system. Plus, an upgraded functionality allows for the creation of various powerful system configurations.
AeroCool Strike X Xtreme chassis are developed in mid-tower form-factor and are housed in solid steel cases (SECC) with voluminous ventilation grids. Internal layout is sufficient for the installation of ATX or micro-ATX motherboards, graphics cards of up to 293 mm in length, and CPU tower-like coolers of up to 172 mm in height. In addition, internal framework stipulates the integration of seven PCI-cards, four 5.25-inch devices (all with an output to the frontal facet), and of six 3.5-inch drives. The nominal delivery kit also contains a dedicated adapter for the installation of 2.5-inch SSD devices.
