The Thermaltake Company has announced its new power supply units series, called Toughpower Grand RGB Gold. It is represented by three models, featuring the capacity of 650, 750 and 850 W.

To connect a PC to the Internet is impossible to implement directly, without an assistant modem. Modem (modulator-demodulator) is a special device that converts the signal lines of the provider to the digital data recognized by a computer. To set an alarm, between the online network and PCs today use different channels (lines, cable TV, phone lines or base stations of mobile operators) and special drivers for the modem.

Modern modems are represented by a wide range of models with various design, operation principle and connection type.

In terms of design, these devices are divided into internal and external. The internal model connects directly to the motherboard in the appropriate PCIslot and do not have their own power supply. They are not high performance and not allow to visually control the settings.

The external device clothed in its own body, and have a power supply. They attach to the computer through COM or USB ports and enable you to control the conditions of connection, thanks to the led activity.

With regard to the principle of modems, they are divided into hardware, where all operations of a signal conversion performed by the modem, and software, where this function is responsible by the Central processor of a PC system.
