The single-board Hardkernel Odroid-XU4Q PC Got a Massive Heatsink Instead of a Fan

The single-board Odroid-XU4 PC by Hardkernel, released in 2015, has got its new modified successor, called Odroid-XU4Q, which allows to construct devices for smart houses and Internet of things. There are no profound changes, though. A new version obtained a rather large sized (40 х 40 х 25 mm) heatsink instead of a low-profile fan. Such a solution makes the PC operation completely silent.



The board is based on the Samsung designed Exynos 5422 processor; the chipset is built on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture – it has four Cortex-A15 cores with up to 2.0 GHz clock speed and four Cortex-A7 cores with up to 1.4 GHz frequensy. The integrated Mali-T628 MP6 controller provides graphics processing.


The novelty from Hardkernel features 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, one HDMI 1.4, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The flash module capacity can be equal to 16, 32 or 64 GB.

Fujitsu Intros a New Line of Ergonomic Monitors

Fujitsu introduces a new line of monitors that dramatically improve desktop PC ergonomics. The line is represented by three models: universal B Line, stylish X Line, and professional P Line. If compared with the previous generation of monitors designed by Fujitsu, these monitors are characterized by a faster startup activity, brighter display, heightened resolution, and more power-efficient operation. The latter is of crucial importance, since a new series consumes 60% less power than older models.



All three models are targeted primarily at corporate clients who spend the whole day at their PCs. According to the developers' words, monitors with 22-27 inch displays are the most suitable options for a prolonged work, since their ergonomic facilities (eye-care friendly, functional stand that allows changing the height and pitch of the display) ensure comfortable work during long hours on end.

Inno3D launches video cards iChill GTX 680/670 LCS

Hong Kong manufacturer of graphics cards Inno3D announced the delivery of two fresh products based on the base of the graphics core Nvidia GK104 and the original cooling system Arctic Accelero Hybrid, — iChill GTX 680 iChill GTX and LCS 670 LCS.



It should be noted that the models Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 680 Accelero Hybrid and Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 670 Accelero Hybrid withdrawal of excess heat is engaged in a hybrid cooler ARCTIC Accelero Hybrid. Estàndard Fireware (IEEE 1394) – un mètode de transmissió de la informació en format digital a través d'una sèrie d'alta velocitat autobús. En la majoria dels casos aquest estàndard s'utilitza per a la comunicació entre l'ordinador i els equips per a registrar/reproducció de vídeo i d'àudio.

La seva alta velocitat de rendiment Fireware és a prop del rendiment pneumàtics USB 2.0, però a diferència d'aquest, permet connectar simultàniament utilitzaten lamajor quantitat de dispositius (fins a 60!). Per assegurar la funcionalitat de tots els equips connectats a ajudar el conductor Fireware dispositius.

Els principals avantatges de l'autobús de l'IEEE 1394 es pot atribuir a que el cost relativament baix de la integració, de forma molt ràpida transferència de dades, així com la capacitat per connectar dispositius equipats amb intercanviable en calent Plug-i-play. Aquest mode permet connectar/desconnectar els dispositius en qualsevol moment (fins i tot quan hi ha un intercanvi d'informació) sense por a la pèrdua o errors en les dades. A més a més, Fireware realitza la transmissió de dades i la tensió de subministrament en un sol cable.

Si la vostra connexió d'equips informàtics pogut reconèixer-ho, llavors vostè ha de descarregar els drivers per a Fireware dispositius, o actualitzar l'obsoleta. Per a això serà necessari l'accés directe a Internet.

Normalment aquest tipus de dispositius venen per separat disc, que conté tot el necessari per a treballar amb eficàcia els conductors.
