The single-board Hardkernel Odroid-XU4Q PC Got a Massive Heatsink Instead of a Fan

The single-board Odroid-XU4 PC by Hardkernel, released in 2015, has got its new modified successor, called Odroid-XU4Q, which allows to construct devices for smart houses and Internet of things. There are no profound changes, though. A new version obtained a rather large sized (40 х 40 х 25 mm) heatsink instead of a low-profile fan. Such a solution makes the PC operation completely silent.



The board is based on the Samsung designed Exynos 5422 processor; the chipset is built on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture – it has four Cortex-A15 cores with up to 2.0 GHz clock speed and four Cortex-A7 cores with up to 1.4 GHz frequensy. The integrated Mali-T628 MP6 controller provides graphics processing.


The novelty from Hardkernel features 2 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, one HDMI 1.4, one USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The flash module capacity can be equal to 16, 32 or 64 GB.

Fujitsu Intros a New Line of Ergonomic Monitors

Fujitsu introduces a new line of monitors that dramatically improve desktop PC ergonomics. The line is represented by three models: universal B Line, stylish X Line, and professional P Line. If compared with the previous generation of monitors designed by Fujitsu, these monitors are characterized by a faster startup activity, brighter display, heightened resolution, and more power-efficient operation. The latter is of crucial importance, since a new series consumes 60% less power than older models.



All three models are targeted primarily at corporate clients who spend the whole day at their PCs. According to the developers' words, monitors with 22-27 inch displays are the most suitable options for a prolonged work, since their ergonomic facilities (eye-care friendly, functional stand that allows changing the height and pitch of the display) ensure comfortable work during long hours on end.

Inno3D launches video cards iChill GTX 680/670 LCS

Hong Kong manufacturer of graphics cards Inno3D announced the delivery of two fresh products based on the base of the graphics core Nvidia GK104 and the original cooling system Arctic Accelero Hybrid, — iChill GTX 680 iChill GTX and LCS 670 LCS.



It should be noted that the models Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 680 Accelero Hybrid and Inno3D iChiLL Black Series GeForce GTX 670 Accelero Hybrid withdrawal of excess heat is engaged in a hybrid cooler ARCTIC Accelero Hybrid. Més moderns digital multimèdia dispositius (foto-/càmeres de vídeo, reproductors d'àudio, etc.) estan fabricats amb una limitada quantitat de memòria interna, que sovint és insuficient per a emmagatzemar grans quantitats d'informació. Per augmentar la quantitat d'emmagatzematge, en especial d'un dispositiu d'emmagatzematge – targeta de memòria. Interna dispositius instal·lats a 2.5-/3.5-polzades compartiment d'emmagatzematge dins el sistema de la unitat. Es caracteritzen per el suport de tots popular targeta de formats. El seu únic inconvenient – la incapacitat per connectar-se a un portàtil PC (ordinador portàtil, ultrabook, nettop).

Targeta externa lectors han guanyat popularitat a causa de la connectivitat amb l'exterior interfície USB equips d'escriptori i portàtils (a través d' USB cable). Aquestes solucions solen tenir la mida compacta, que fa que siguin transportables. Si s'utilitzen dispositius externs, cal considerar que per connectar-se a diversos sistemes necessita descarregar els controladors per a dispositius per a targetes de memòria que són compatibles amb la configuració del sistema operatiu.
