The EK-FB ASUS ROG ZE RGB Water Unit by EKWB Adopted Several Design Elements from EK-Supremacy EVO

The product line of Slovenia-based EKWB vendor’s water units is broadened by the EK-FB ASUS ROG ZE RGB monoblock, which is aimed at ASUSTeK Computer motherboards, built on the AMD X399 logic sets.



The specialty is the first all-in-one (processor and mother card) liquid cooling solution for the AMD HEDT platforms, drawing heat away from the CPU and power system components. The list of compatible cards includes ASUS ROG Zenith Extreme, Prime X399-A and ROG Strix X399-E Gaming.


EKWB representatives claim, the new product adopted several design elements from the popular processor EK-Supremacy EVO water block. The base of EK-FB ASUS ROG ZE RGB is performed out of nickelized electrolytic copper, and its cover is made of the transparent acrylic material and supplied with the RGB LED-backlighting, which makes it compatible with ASUS® Aura Sync. Samsung Readies a Couple of Curved Monitors: CF791 & CFG70

Samsung has replenished its lineup of gaming products with a couple of new monitors with a curved framework. The CF791 is a 34-inch display with 4 ms response time, whereas its comrade, the CFG70, is shipped in 23.5-inch & 27-inch variations; their response time equals to 1 ms. Both models are developed on VA panel with 1500-1800 mm curvature.



Samsung CF791 boasts 3400x1400 pixels resolution, while Samsung CFG70 features Full HD resolution (1920x1080). The integrated panel ensures the widest viewing angles – 178/178 degrees in both aspects, 125% coverage in sRGB environment. The latter is due to the incorporation of Quantum Dot technology which enhances color rendering and contrast showings.

Skokovi napona napajanja ili iznenadna isključivanje energije – najčešći uzroci gubitka podataka i problema u radu PC-ja. Spriječiti takve оказии pomaže izvor neprekidnog napajanja (UPS) – automatski uređaj koji omogućuje povezivanje opreme bez prekida opskrbe električnom energijom. Da biste izvor učinkovito komunicirati s RAČUNALOM potrebno vam je prije početka rada skinuti driver za UPS-a.

Svi prikazani na tržištu UPS-a mogu se podijeliti na 3 vrste, ovisno o unutrašnjosti uređaja: Standby, Line-Interactive i On-Line.

Model tip Standby predstavljaju mrežni filtar s baterijom i pretvarača napona. Kada u mreži postoji napon, računalo radi direktno iz mreže, a straightener puni UPS-a. U slučaju skoka napona ili njegov nedostatak, uređaj se aktivira prekidač, sve dok se prstenasta inverter, koji pak počinje hraniti PC baterije.

Prednosti modela Standby – pristupačna cijena i sposobnost da se osigura oprema za dodatnim napajanjem od tri do dvadeset i pet minuta nakon nestanka energije. Glavni nedostatak takvih rješenja – oštar prebacivanje napajanja na baterije čak i kad je mali trkaći konj napona, što smanjuje životni vijek uređaja.

UPS tipa Line-Interactive (linearno-interaktivni) su efikasniji kada se radi u nestabilnoj mrežama. U njihov hardver koristi automatski regulatori napona (eng. AVR – automatic napon control), koji prebacuje na PC napajanje iz baterije u slučaju velikog skoka napona, pri odstupanja napona ili naglog nestanka struje. Štoviše, takav tip uređaja savršeno će odgovarati za veliki broj korisnika, ako se skinuti driver za UPS i izvršiti fino podešavanje uređaja.

Treći tip izvora besprekidnog napajanja služi za profesionalnu uporabu. U osnovi On-Line modela leži dvostruki pretvarač snage i složeni dijagram interakcije transformator, ispravljač napona i inverter. Glavna razlika je On-Line UPS-a od dva gore navedenih uređaja – kašnjenje od nekoliko milisekundi pri prebacivanju iz utičnice za struju i na baterije. Budući da je PC uvijek spojen na инвертору, kašnjenja napajanja pri prebacivanju ne događa.
